Role Purpose
We are looking for a skilled and creative
Learning Content Developer - SCORM Specialist
to design, build, and publish interactive e-learning content for our global learning platform. This role works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and platform teams to develop SCORM-compliant content that supports our global leadership and professional development curriculum. The ideal candidate will have both technical expertise and a strong sense of learner engagement and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Design
- Develop SCORM-compliant e-learning modules, including learning content, interactive activities, and assessments.
- Translate SME-provided material into visually engaging, instructional content aligned with learning objectives.
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices in all learning solutions.
Platform Integration & SCORM Management
- Create and test SCORM packages to ensure accurate functionality within the global LMS (e.g., Thrive).
- Ensure SCORM compatibility with tracking, reporting, and learner progress functionality.
- Upload and manage content within the LMS, ensuring correct metadata, tagging, and categorization.
Optimization & Quality Assurance
- Optimize content for desktop, tablet, and mobile use to ensure a consistent and responsive learner experience.
- Conduct rigorous QA testing for usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or integration issues related to SCORM content.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with instructional designers, SMEs, and other internal stakeholders to ensure content meets design, learning, and branding standards.
- Participate in learner feedback loops to improve content and the overall digital learning experience.
- Stay current with industry best practices, accessibility standards, and evolving learning technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years of experience designing and developing e-learning content.
- Proven proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Adapt).
- Strong understanding of SCORM standards, LMS functionality, and digital content workflows.
- Experience uploading and managing SCORM files on learning platforms (experience with Thrive is a plus).
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript for content customization or troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to learner engagement and content quality.
Desirable Skills (Nice To Have)
- Experience with xAPI (Tin Can) and other learning content standards.
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with multimedia content integration.
- Experience in mobile-first design and responsive learning development.
- Exposure to video editing tools (e.g., Vyond, Adobe Premiere).
- Knowledge of leadership development frameworks or business learning content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
