Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manager Barista located in Sea Point, Cape Town. The Manager Barista will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the coffee bar, ensuring high-quality preparation of coffee and bagels, managing staff schedules, training and mentoring baristas, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and handling customer service to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key responsibilities include daily/weekly/monthly inventory management, daily/weekly ordering, staff management, customer service, catching and keeping the brand's culture, and making the best cup of coffee in Cape Town.

Qualifications

  • Experience in barista skills, including coffee preparation and customer service
  • Strong team management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and supply ordering
  • Ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers
  • Keeping a healthy working environment for staff
  • Prior experience in a similar role is necessary
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality or management are a plus
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
