About the role

Baker & Bean in Simon's Town is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Waitron/Barista to join our Front-of-House team. This is a dual role — you'll serve customers on the floor as well as prepare high-quality coffees and other beverages behind the bar.

Requirements (mark as "Required" on Indeed):

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar café or restaurant environment
• Able to reliably commute to/from Simon's Town (or have reliable transport)
• Strong barista skills and knowledge of espresso-based drinks
• Friendly, outgoing, and well-spoken with a professional appearance
• Excellent time-management, multitasking, and teamwork abilities
• Reliable, punctual, and genuinely enjoys engaging with customers

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and other beverages to café standards
• Greet and serve guests with warmth and efficiency
• Handle orders, payments, and table service using the POS system
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coffee station and FOH areas
• Support team members to ensure a smooth, positive customer experience

Pay: R28,79 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
