Role Description

We are looking for a skilled
Architectural Technical Draughtsman
to join our team. This role involves producing detailed technical drawings and documentation for the design, fabrication, and installation of building façade systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical drawing abilities and a solid understanding of architectural principles and be willing to learn and develop skills in façade design industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed façade drawings (plans, sections, elevations, shop drawings).
  • Produce fabrication and installation details for curtain walls, cladding screens, louvers, windows and other façade components.
  • Be able to coordinate and interact professionally with architects, structural engineers, façade engineers and contractors.
  • Interpret architectural intent and translate it into practical, buildable solutions with the support of our Façade team.
  • Ensure all drawings meet building codes, façade standards and project specifications.
  • Produce cut-slip drawings and fabrication schedules for panels, frames, brackets and other façade elements.
  • Prepare material take-offs and glass cut-slip schedules.
  • Assist with resolving on-site technical issues through updated drawings and working proactively to meet programme deadlines.
  • Assist our Contract Managers with setting out drawings and provide on-site support to resolve snags and other related items.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in architectural and construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of architectural design principles, façade systems (advantageous) and planning requirements.
  • Excellent technical drawing skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD (Minimum 3 Years0 (Revit or other CAD software advantageous).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Prior experience in façade, construction or architectural fields is advantageous.
  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • A valid driver's licence is required
