Job Purpose

The successful applicant will be appointed as part of the licensing team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager for Moonstone Compliance.

The Operations & Licensing Administrator is responsible for assisting clients to successfully complete new license and profile change applications, and will also coordinate client services and administrative functions that support the day-to-day operations and licensing service offerings of Moonstone Compliance.

The successful applicant will be required to provide exceptional customer service through understanding client needs and requirements; and offering accurate, thoughtful, and timely support services.

Job Specification

  • Analysing, submitting, and monitoring new FAIS license applications and profile changes. This will include corresponding with potential clients and other stakeholders, guiding them on licensing requirements, reviewing, and discussing application information, submitting applications for approval, and associated administrative functions.
  • Processing and allocation of and following up on leads / prospective clients' enquiries; and recommending Moonstone products and services that will address their requirements.
  • Record keeping and database management.
  • Capturing and processing contracts.
  • General client correspondence, notifications, and queries.
  • Collate and prepare reports/documents as required.
  • Research and remain current on applicable legislation, industry developments and internal procedures.
  • Liaise with colleagues/industry role players.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
  • General administrative tasks and assistance with other team related tasks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Relevant post-matric qualification (diploma / qualification / etc.) in Business Administration / Commerce / Law / Financial Services related.
  • Minimum of 3 years' administrative experience, including some working experience related to customer support and financial or regulatory services-related tasks. Working knowledge of the financial services industry, legislation (FAIS, etc.) and FSCA administrative procedures.
  • High degree of computer literacy: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Afrikaans
  • Must have a positive outlook, be presentable and self-motivated.
  • Advantageous
    : Completion of the Regulatory Examinations (RE1 and/or RE5)
