As the manager for testing you are responsible for the management of the test plan documentation and execution. Provides leadership to all testing members. Ensures adherence to the enterprise-wide testing policy and test strategy/strategies. Identifies and escalates potential delays on the delivery of projects. Responsible for software testing best practices within an enterprise. May have supervisory and people management of the team. The Manager of Testing must stay abreast of emerging technologies and provide guidance to the Head of Applications and teams on areas that pose direct or indirect implications on BankservAfrica’s mission critical clearing and settlement systems.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Successful end to end testing in support of BankservAfrica’s business, ICT and product strategies.
- Adherence to Change Management processes and procedures.
- Interface to and training of Product Specialists, Operational Testing and Operations Department within the Business Units and Product departments to ensure complete empowerment and responsibility of product ownership.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external, including but not limited to representatives from Project managers, through Analysis and development teams.
- Provide accurate and effective documentation on operational functions, support and maintenance processes and procedures, backup, integration, recovery, and disaster management processes and procedures, administration processes and procedures and test scenarios for client take-on testing.
- Interpret in depth technical reports, proposals or project briefs to internal or external customers.
- Provide effective benchmarks and Service Level recommendations to Business Units, Product Owners and Operational departments.
- Develop and execute the departmental strategies and business plan. Manage the departmental budget effectively.
- Negotiation with customers or supplies over pricing, contracts or services.
- Ensure implementation of performance management policies and procedures.
- Ensure the implementation of training and developmental programmes for your staff.
- Produce required reporting for your area in consultation with line manager.
- Ensure risks are tracked, managed and reported timeously.

**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE**
- Minimum Requirement: Degree in Information Technology or similar (NQF 7)
- Ms Office Proficient
- Software testing methodologies (manual, automated, performance, security, regression, UAT, etc.)
- Test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, JMeter, Postman, QTP, LoadRunner)
- Test management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, ALM, Zephyr)
- Understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments
- Familiarity with scripting

**EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 12 years IT experience
- Minimum 5 years proven Management and Leadership experience.
- Payments Knowledge/experience is advantageous
- Test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting
- Resource planning, budgeting, and risk management
- Experience in full project lifecycles (from initiation to post-release support)
- Stakeholder management and communication (working with developers, PMs, product owners, business)
- Coaching and mentoring Test Leads and Testers
