**Location**: Cape Town, South Africa

**Position Overview**:
Join our dynamic fintech team as a QA Tester where precision and detail are paramount. With your in-depth experience in testing and quality assurance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our solutions are both robust and of the highest quality. In addition to the rigorous standards of testing, you will collaborate closely with both the product and development teams, fostering a culture of 'shift-left' testing and contributing to our continuous improvement ethos.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct manual tests, ensuring all functionalities align with specified requirements and standards before moving to automation.
- Work collaboratively with the Automation Specialist to automate regression test packs once manual testing confirms pass criteria.
- Write detailed E2E testing scenarios and facilitate integrated testing to ensure seamless system performance.
- Assist in reviewing and refining acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity and testability.
- Advocate for and foster a culture of 'shift-left' testing, emphasizing early testing in the development cycle.
- Utilize Gherkin syntax to write clear, comprehensive, and structured test cases and scenarios.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all testing activities, ensuring reproducibility and consistency.
- Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in software testing.
- Contribute insights and suggestions for enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness of the testing process.

**Qualifications**:

- ISTQB certification.
- Proficiency in Gherkin syntax.
- Knowledge of integrated testing methodologies and best practices.
- Significant experience in a QA testing role, with a strong background in fintech.
- Experience in collaborating with teams to automate testing processes.
- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and offering solutions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools.
- Experience in collaborating with product teams to define acceptance criteria and streamline testing processes.
