Ensure on time, cost efficient deliveries to the Retailers
- Manage TDC (Total Distribution Cost) within budget
- Maintain and grow excellent relationship with the Retailers through analyse, resolve queries and complaints effectively, provide timeous solutions and feedback.
- Upskilling of all Drivers through the Drivers Training Programme
- Manage Retailer relationships and provide effective leadership
- Manage logistics and route planning and monitor the execution thereof
- Manage operational performance using, among other tools, Winroute, DRM2, Micro Alert, PALM and Mix Telematics
- Manage Workshop relationship, vehicle up-time, servicing, and compliance
- Ensure a functional SLA is in place with all service providers (Workshop, Assembly etc.)
- Staff performance management
- Ensure proper procedures and controls are in place within the Outbound Transport department
- Ensure that high standard of housekeeping (warehouse and Trucks) is maintained
- Plan, organize and measure resources to ensure that targets are met, and waves are completed timeously, and enforce cut-off times

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain (mandatory)
- 5 Years management experience, in a transport environment of a staff complement of at least 50 employees is mandatory
- Preference from FMCG environment
- 5 Years experience in customer care management (mandatory)
- Accuracy and technical/professional competency in Logistics
- Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Road Traffic Act
- Industry leader in terms of understanding routing, driver management and fleet
- Customer focus
- Conflict management skills
- Analytical
- Extensive knowledge of transport operating practices
- Intense knowledge of driver responsibilities towards managing and taking care of heavy-duty vehicles
- Microsoft Office competency
- Team player and be able to work independently
- Self-motivation, assertive, and take initiative
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management skills
- Flexible to travel to all distribution points
- IR skills (mandatory)
- Ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people
- Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays on an ad hoc basis

**Salary**: R40,000.00 - R45,000.00 per month
