- Position Purpose:

- A self-motivated individual responsible for managing a portfolio of key customers allocated, implement action plans and objectives ensuring that revenue, volume, profitability, and customer service objectives are achieved. To initiate and lead in the development and driving process of identified opportunities and ensure that each customer is supported from end to end to render an excellent customer experience. This individual will plays an active role in the achievement of company objectives and targets
- Responsibilities:

- Strategy Execution
- Key account coordination
- Drive account plans with key accounts to boost revenue growth and customer satisfaction
- Lead and participate in the identification of new business projects and opportunities
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer supply chain, needs, and requirements and activate accordingly to drive sales
- Drive sales strategy to maximize growth opportunities with key accounts
- Protect CHEP’s current business and develop and execute expansion initiatives for existing customers
- Intimate knowledge of the CHEP brand and its value proposition
- Pricing Negotiations
- Cultivate and preserve trust by providing a consistent and reliable experience for key customer contacts
- To drive established goals for portfolio growth within the key accounts and conduct regular evaluations/business reviews to ensure objectives are being achieved
- Build and nurture loyal, long-lasting relationships with key account customers
- Implement ways to grow the business with key customer sites and implement solutions to mitigate challenges
- Account Management
- Review and analyze regular reports of key account progress and forecasts to customer, by identifying areas of improvement and mitigation solutions to present during performance review meetings
- To continually keep abreast of developments with key accounts sites to monitor competition and drive strategies to defend competitive threats through the understanding customer needs and development of strong relationships with key accounts
- Maintain structured call plans with a proactive customer approach and response
- Foundational Requirement:

- Adherence to Business Rules and Best Practices
- Value Adding Services, MyChep, EDI, RFID, TEMS, NPD Solution,
- Entering into discussions to resolve any disputes promptly, in a manner acceptable to both parties.
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Cash Management: close monitoring of overdue and cash flow in collaboration with Finance
- Handling of order enquiries including post order fulfillment process. Oversight and monitoring of the quality of product delivered to the customer.

- Qualifications:

- Essential: Post Matric Qualification
- Preferable: Commercial Degree
- Desired: Post Graduate Degree
- Experience
- 5+ years’ experience within
- FMCG Sales and key account management
- Solution selling
- and/ or Logistics/ Supply Chain
- Skills and Knowledge
- Interpersonal relationship expertise
- Value-based selling
- Coordinated account management
- Solution selling in a supply chain environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Understanding of supply chain mechanics
- Analysing financials and key customer KPIs
- Developed presentation skills
- Ability to innovate and formulate creative solutions
- Ability to monitor, understand and leverage key market trends
- Preferred Education

Bachelors
- Preferred Level of Work Experience

5 - 7 years
