The HVAC specialist role consist of carrying out maintenance, installation, and day to day repair of HVAC systematics in the group and to ensure the continuity of operations in accordance with the applicable Clinix Health Group ‘standards and other related legal requirements and best practices.
**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**:
- National Diploma or N5 Certificate (Qualified Electrician).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital maintenance.
- Trade Test Certification (Refrigeration Mechanician).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience specifically, including VRF, chilled water and DX Systems.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- An ability to read wiring diagrams.
- Proven knowledge of Electrical/ HVAC Installations and reticulation legislation and codes, project management will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, SANS 10142, R158 building regulations with specific reference to hospitals and specialised units (ICU’s, Theatres etc.).
- Be in possession of a valid driver's license and able to manage under pressure.
- Computer proficiency.
**Minimum Job Requirements**:
- Attend to daily job cards as obtained from both internal and external customers and incoming emergency calls from time to time.
- Accurately and proactively identify problems and their associated risks which may affect the operations of all services (electrical/mechanical).
- Perform basic electrical load calculation to determine the load required for applicable supply to an HVAC system.
- Provide proper diagnostics on issues, basic faultfinding and troubleshooting on all HVAC systematics.
- Conduct daily routine preventative checks (daily, weekly, and monthly) as stipulated on the work procedures and maintain safe operations of a mechanical /electrical installation and available for standby as well as overtime when required.
- Perform new mechanical/ electrical installation/upgrade(s) on the existing and/or new mechanical/electrical installation (plant & machinery).
- Accurate record keeping, Financials (budget management, payment schedules, petty cash, and Human Resource management - conflict, performance, time (Kronos).
