Requirements
- Relevant B degree
- Up to eight years’ management experience with five years relevant
public transport operations management.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage and administer all Public Transport Operations contracts
and projects ensuring that governance and management of
contracts / projects is in compliance with the Corporate Contract
Management Framework (CMF) of the City and to ensure project
success by minimising project budget overruns
- Manage and oversee planning and control of Public Transport
vehicle operations
- Manage Public Transport vehicle operations as an effective and
viable entity to provide commuters with a successful operated
transport service running according to schedule and needs of
customers
- Ensure effective management of all vehicle operator functions
within Urban Mobility Directorate, including systems, policies, finance
as well performance of staff within the branch
to develop and implement a full range of programmes, systems,
policies and practices in relation to professional discipline within the
Department/Branch to effect service delivery to clients
- Act as a liaison between Urban Mobility, its Vehicle Operating
Companies, service providers and stakeholders to address all
customer matters ensuring that services are rendered timeously.
