Group Head of Technical Training

**Job Description**:
Our client, an international mining house, is seeking a Group Head of Technical Training who will oversee and guide the operational activities of the company’s regional technical and development (where applicable) training centres including staffing, systems, facilities, and programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and mining core competencies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Streamline the group-wide technical training function.
- Develop, implement, monitor, maintain and improve ongoing training programs across the business.
- Develop and maintain Policies, Processes and Standard Operating Procedures for the Technical Training Centres.
- Establish Standards and Quality Assurance methodology.
- Advise on Best Practices as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.
- Manage self and show up as a good team player, mentor and coach.
- Forecast, secure, and manage the Regional Technical Training budget.
- Support the transformation agenda.
- Integrate HSEQ into all work processes.
- Establish and improve reporting processes for the area of responsibility.
**Requirements**:Qualification and Skill**_ _**
- At least 10 years in a senior training and development capacity, with proven and successful experience leading a training and development department in a multilingual, culturally diverse mining environment.
- Bachelor of Education, or Tertiary qualification as Mining Engineering and related
- Principles of adult vocational training and competency-based training
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Fluency in English. French will be beneficial.
