Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated a **Junior NDT Technician **to join our Business Practices, in Johannesburg office.

Our Technologies team is focused on the commercialisation and delivery of technologies across all three of Hatch’s sectors: Metals, Energy, Infrastructure. We’re a team of innovators and problem solvers who deliver custom and specialized engineering to deliver novel solutions and technologies.

In addition to developing new technologies and selecting and installing equipment in greenfield projects, we help our clients to get the most from their existing assets by providing field support, rebuild repairs, and retrofits. We also work with our clients to optimize their existing technologies to achieve the maximise benefit.

To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on NDT and QA/QC experience, with strong attention to detail and a creative flair. In this role, you should be highly efficient and creative and have a sharp eye for details. Your goal will be to execute Hatch’s advanced NDT technologies that capture and promote Hatch’s vision in accordance with Hatch’s requirements.
- Participating in various projects from concept to completion
- Understand project requirements and concepts
- Understand and execute various inspection techniques efficiently and effectively
- Pitch creative ideas
- Collaborate with team members on various projects
- Take on special tasks (e.g. QA/QC and)
- Use feedback from other specialists to successfully execute NDT, QA, QC and welding and fabrication inspections.

**You bring to the role**:

- Up to 3 years of experience as a Junior NDT Technician
- Experience with Microsoft word, power point and excel
- Familiarity with multiple inspection techniques
- Teamwork skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Time management and multitasking abilities
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards
- Maintain accurate records
- Ensure products are user
- and environment-friendly
- Write detailed reports
- Find creative solutions to inspection problems
- Qualifications in Non-Destructive Inspection and Testing (NDT). Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing and Dye-Penetrant Testing Level 1.
- Welding and Fabrication Inspections
- QA and QC
