The Housekeeping team at Birkenhead House is integral to ensuring that as a property, we can live up to The Royal Portfolio's purpose, which is _"To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay"_. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas - Replenishing room amenities as required - Taking note of guest preferences in terms of drinks and room snacks - Following laundry procedures - Asset protection - ensuring all hotel equipment and assets are in good working order - Reporting any maintenance requirements in rooms and public areas REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS - Matric certificate - 2+ years experience in Housekeeping in a luxury hotel environment - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write and converse well in English - Team player with a positive attitude - Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays - Physically fit and able to walk distances and carry linen and supplies as required South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document. Please note it is a condition of employment, that all staff undergo a pre-employment polygraph test.
