Senior Administrator: Logistics

**Job Description**:
- Responsible for the day to day Supervision, Coordination and Operation of the Logistics and Stores department from stocks availability, client interaction, sample receipt, sorting, logging, labeling, tracking, storage of samples and related queries/enquiries.
- Execute job review when samples are received, to ensure instructions are clear and understood before work is profiled in SLIM
- Responsible for sample routing, formulating changes, improving workflow and maximum, effective utilization of all resources in the departments
- Responsible for achieving a high degree of project execution and client satisfaction
- Drive the sections activities, by making timely technical decisions with regards to reaching the clients objectives
- Responsible to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal
- Responsible for building a motivated team, focused on client service, quality and satisfaction.
- Data entry of results into SLIM where necessary
- Request stock quotations from suppliers and submit to the Business Procurement Administrator (BPA) to place order.
- Follow up on the outstanding orders.
- Promptly inform the Laboratory Manager, Production Planning Manager and Section Manager if supplies are inadequate or when we are experiencing problems with suppliers.
- Ensures and monitors that stock levels are accounted for on weekly basis and report is issued.
- Monthly sign-off and submission of stock sheets to Finance.
- Submits the Invoices/delivery note recons to BPA.
- Maintains an appropriate document trail (Invoices, delivery notes, Request sheets, issuance sheets, Quality Specifications check sign off.) system on all the stores related records.
- In conjunction with the Section Managers and Procurement schedule a routine review of the 19suppliers list and ensure that it is up to date.
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Keep relevant communications confidential
- Complies and conforms to the laboratory quality management system (ISO17025 and SANAS)
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
- Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.
**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- A Diploma in Logistics.
- Matric with Maths and Science.
**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the administrative aspects of Geochemical Laboratory Services
- Good understanding of ISO IEC/17025
- Excellent communication skills with good written and speaking ability of English.
- Client Services background would be an added advantage
- Solid Senior Supervisory experience
