A well-established importer within the wholesale trading industry is in need of a skilled Maintenance Technician with good experience in **Material Handling, Ammonia systems, Moveable Racking and Heavy Moving Equipment**. If you meet the set-out requirements to perform the key performance areas successfully then this position is just for you.

**Education**:

- Grade 12
- N5 - N6 (Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration)
- Red Seal certified would be an advantage
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in similar role
- Logistical and Industrial Maintenance
- Cold Storage and Facility Maintenance

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Operational infrastructure maintenance
- Material handling equipment
- Ammonia refrigeration system
- Moveable racking
- Heavy moving equipment
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Computer Literate
- Preventative building maintenance

**Key Performance Areas**:
**Refrigeration Systems**:

- Inspect the plant daily
- Check the service detail preventative sheets
- Repair any scheduled and unscheduled repairs
- Calibrate and verify the measuring equipment
- Record and document all activities events and concerns

**Building Maintenance**:

- Check and inspect all preventative maintenance
- Scheduled and unscheduled mid or minor repairs (Painting, Plastering, Plumbing)
- Electrical devices and appliance upkeeping
- Service and upkeep the security gate and fencing
- Arrange and report major maintenance projects
- Reporting on and budget for all facilities and building expenses
- Manage contractors and report all preventative maintenance activities

**Asset Management and Control**:

- Maintain and report on asset register
- Stock take of equipment and assets
- Inspect equipment and assets
- Replenish and replace assets

**Assurance of Safety and Compliance**:

- Conduct preventative maintenance checks
- Observe and action proactively health and safety maintenance

**Budgetary**:

- Assist with cost indications and budget calculations
- Inform management adjustments on budgets
- Update budget reports

Area: Table Bay - Cape Town
