Client Portfolio Manager

The individual is required to leverage the company network to drive new business development in the Winelands area and identify opportunities to refer business to other service lines across the Group.
This role requires strong working relationships with the Investment Management team in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg and London. It is further required that strong relationships are built within the broader team - at all levels, across geographies.
Externally the role requires regular interaction and close relationships with existing/potential clients, as well as business introducers.
The following is required to fulfil this role:
- Degree in Finance, Investments or related - CFA Charterholder preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in the investment industry.
- Experience in analyzing/managing offshore and onshore multi-asset class portfolios for private clients.
- FAIS registered representative.

- Strong organizational skills: Schedules and manages workload effectively, thinks ahead, sets plans to achieve goals. Can work well under pressure and time constraints.
- Leadership, self-motivation, positive attitude: Ability to take leadership/ownership when required and to solve problems constructively and with a positive attitude.
- Teamwork: Supports and works towards team goals, shares information, is helpful and co-operative, works effectively with people outside immediate team and within the wider group.
