IT Manager

**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**

Oversee the day-to-day operations of on-premise and cloud network infrastructure, security, and systems administration to ensure high reliability, security, and scalability.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS**
- Support of both strategic and operational goals of organisation while building quality engagements to facilitate improved support.
- Maintaining Business Continuity schedules, updating policies in conjunction with the Data Protection Officer.
- Develop technology roadmap to ensure strategic company objectives can be met.
- Run quarterly meetings of the IT Steerco and prepare quarterly technology board report submission.
- Develop and manage the IT budget to ensure resources are allocated efficiently between ongoing operations and new projects.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with IT vendors to ensure favorable terms and high-quality services.
- Implement and monitor IT vendor service level agreements to mitigate risk.
- Direct and manage IT projects from initiation through to successful completion, focusing on staying within budget and meeting deadlines.
- Mentoring and training of technology employees, building skills within department, to reduce employee reliance and develop horizontal job loading.
- Lead the IT support team to provide timely and effective resolution of technical issues for internal users.
- Ensure development projects meet company strategic objectives, within specified time-frames and pre-determined budgets.
- Identify technology and process related risk and implement strategies to mitigate, transfer or eliminate such risk where possible.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard the company data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with South Africa's POPIA.
- Employ project management best practices to oversee initiatives such as system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure enhancements, ensuring they meet strategic business goals.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION**
- ESSENTIAL:_
- BCom Information Technology Management
- ITIL Certification
- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE)

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
- ESSENTIAL:_

**-**Five years’ experience in a similar role
- Managing a midsize team of 3 to 5 line reports
- IT Budgets
- Formal Report Writing
- Document and BU Policy Management

**REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- SharePoint online (administration)
- SQL Server (administration)
- Exchange Online (administration)
- Microsoft 365 (administration)
- General WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, switching.
- Windows infrastructure (IIS, RAS, AD, DNS, virtualization, Backup)
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written with the ability to manage communication between various departments
- Detail orientated and well organized with the ability to cope under pressure
- Ability to prioritize based on daily tasks, customer requests & internal requests.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working with little to no supervision - should be able to efficiently manage time and priorities
