- As an Events and Sponsorship Manager, you will be responsible for the following activities:
**Events & Sponsorship**
- Development and implementation of the TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa (TMSA) Events and Sponsorship strategy in line with TMSA’s Marketing and Communication Strategy
- To manage the annual events and sponsorships calendar for the TMSA business as a whole
- To regularly engage TMSA’s business stakeholders on their event requirements.
- To manage and co-ordinate all marketing events / activations for the Company. This includes Corporate Events as well as departmental events and conferences for all business stakeholders.
- Timely development and reporting of post-event analysis, with recommendations on further improvement, to the Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager and departmental managers.
- Evaluate the current and future competitive sponsorship properties and identify potential opportunities for TMSA.
- To adequately manage the relationship with TMSA’s brand ambassador/s.
- To ensure monthly Sponsorship Committee meetings take place, sponsorship requests are routed through the correct internal process, and all admin requirements for the meeting are met.
- Management of external event agencies and suppliers in delivering on the business objectives and ensure implementation of all events and activities is done within budget and timelines
- Management of TMSA Hospitality suites i.e. FNB Stadium suite, branding is correct according to norms, and utilization of suites is facilitated according to internal compliance processes.
- To ensure effective budget management and control, including development of measuring tool to quantify return on marketing investment for all events and sponsorships.
- Monthly reports are completed and shared with the Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager.
- Deliver an aligned end-to-end brand experience in all events implemented.

**People management**
- Developing, coaching and mentoring trainees / new marketing staff to promote a positive working environment which will attract and retain skilled staff and increase productivity, as well as ensure that all members are familiar with the events process.

**Context and environment**
- Strategically manage the organise events and sponsorship properties as well management of events and functions in a professional and efficient manner that will enhance the image of the company. Small to large scale events from 10 to 500 people
- Needs to be available after hours and during weekends to manage and supervise TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa Events
- As an Events and Sponsorship Manager, ideally you will possess the following:

- 3-year tertiary qualification in Marketing or related Business degree / diploma and /or Matric plus 5 - 8 years practical experience in events management
- Creative and innovative flair
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
- Mature and professional approach when dealing with external service providers
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Customer service excellence
