Our client in the Legal Sector, has an opportunity available for Head of IT Operations in the Pretoria area.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Certifications on the following:

- MCSE or equivalent
- Cisco certified
- ITIL
- Information Security (CISSP, CISM)
- 10 years’ experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence
- 5 years’ experience managing and delivering information security systems and processes
- Strong technical knowledge of server, messaging, database, telecommunications, and desktop systems
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Extensive experience in enterprise security architecture design
- Experience in developing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting technical problems
- Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required

KPAs:

- Lead the IT Operations Department operational and strategic planning
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including networks, server rooms, servers, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware
- Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment
- People management
- Design and implement short
- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
- Maintain the firm’s security architecture design
- Supervise the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits
