Our Cape Town office is looking for a **Creative Director** **Post Production Editor** to join our **Production Team**.
Role Summary**:
As the Creative Director of Post Production with expertise in Offline Editing, Grading, Online, and both 3D and 2D Animation capabilities, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the entire post-production process and team of 5 other editors. Your role will be to shape and execute the creative vision, ensuring the highest quality of visual content is delivered on time and within budget. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the creative direction, guiding the team, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve outstanding results.

Most importantly, your demo reel will display a vast variety of memorable work across various big brands.

Minimum relevant experience and skills/attributes required:
**Personal Skills**:

- Proven problem solving, analytical, and creative skills
- Ability to display complex concepts in simple, intuitive formats
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Comfortable with following creative briefs & supporting storyboards
- Ability to manage and over see 5 other Editors who will report to you
- Ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnaround time
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment & adapting to a wide variety of assignments and priorities
- Being able to collaborate and encompass strong communication skills
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to team members during brainstorming and review sessions
- Expertly edit and assemble raw footage into engaging, seamless, and visually appealing videos, incorporating animations and motion graphics as needed.
- Utilize video editing software and tools proficiently to enhance storytelling and overall video quality.
- An ear for music & its influence on human emotions

Technical skills/knowledge:

- Both Apple Mac & PC Proficient
- Highly proficient in Davinci Resolve - Cut / Grade / Deliver
- Skilled in After Effects with expertise in animated titles and compositing
- Extensive knowledge of 2D & 3D motion graphics
- Solid knowledge of basic VFX requirements such as Rotoscoping, Keying, Matte Painting.
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Cloud CC
- Extensive experience editing short form content - TVCs / Promos
- Experience with Music Libraries
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of Post Production workflows - Proxies to Camera Raw formats
- Clear understanding of cross platform content creation and unique output ratios
- Basic 3D within Cinema 4D or similar highly advantageous.
- Expertise in colour grading and colour correction techniques.
- Familiarity with online video platforms, trends, and optimization techniques for social media.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide and mentor the creative team.
- Adaptability and a willingness to stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.

**Qualifications/experience**:

- BA degree or similar in Visual Communication with major in (Editing/Animation/Multimedia)
- 7 Years’ experience in a post-production facility, advertising agency or similar.
