**Purpose of Role**:
E Squared Investments is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Investment Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Investments and contributing to the success of our core investment programs across the entire spectrum, from pre-seed ventures to Series C+ companies. This includes E Squared Ventures (E2V), Co-Investment Fund (E2C), and 3 Capital Ventures (3CV), along with complex structures such as management buy-ins/outs (MBOs/MBOs), mezzanine/project finance, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

**ROLE OVERVIEW**:
The Senior Investment Associate will be a core member of the investment team, providing high-level analysis and support across all stages of the deal process. This includes deal sourcing and origination, due diligence, financial modeling, transaction execution and closure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of transactions, gaining exposure to diverse investment types and complex structures.

**Objectives of Role**:

- Conduct **advanced financial analysis** for potential investee companies, leveraging financial modeling skills to assess financial viability and project future performance.
- Participate in the **due diligence process** for larger transactions, performing in-depth analysis of financial statements, financial model, market position, and potential risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the **preparation of investment proposals and presentations** for the Investment Committee, clearly communicating key deal metrics and investment thesis.
- Support the **negotiation and structuring** of investment terms, with a focus on aligning deal structures with E Squared Investments' objectives.
- Assist in the **management of investee companies** following investment, monitoring portfolio performance and providing ongoing support.
- Conduct **industry research and market analysis** to identify promising investment opportunities across the South African entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- **Develop and mentor junior investment team members**,fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Assist with the preparation of various investment documents and reports.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance,Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Minimum 5 years of experience**in private equity, venture capital, investment banking or a related field.
- **Strong analytical and financial modeling skills**(proficiency in Excel and other relevant software).
- **Excellent understanding of financial markets and instruments**.
- **Working knowledge of key commercial statutes and regulations** (Tax, Companies Act).
