**Job purpose**:
**Core activities**

**Deal origination**
- Build and maintain a network of deal sources within the early-stage investment ecosystem that regularly introduce high quality opportunities into the fund’s pipeline.

**Deal evaluation**

**Project management**
- Executing all of the above within a strongly project managed work process is essential.

**Teambuilding**
- Contribute to developing the Analysts through coaching and mentoring relationships and training on technical topics.

**Deal execution, with limited senior support**:

- Due diligence:

- Plan and execute commercial and financial due diligences with multiple workstreams.
- Analyse historical financials and conduct financial modelling in order to value the company.
- Present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee.
- Closing: Support the senior team in managing the process of:

- Drafting, negotiation and execution of legal agreements.
- Effective transaction hand-over process and on-going collaboration with PIM and GS teams.

**Qualifications**:

- A graduate degree, preferably with a technical and/ or quantitative emphasis (finance, engineering, accounting, law).
- An MBA, CA(SA) or CFA degree would be advantageous.

**Experience**:

- 4-5 years in corporate finance/ debt/ equity investing or business consulting with a Tier 1 strategy firm ideally with due diligence exposure.
- Alternatively, other experience, in highly analytical roles in investment banking, venturing, private equity, small business management or advisory services will be taken into consideration.
- Deal origination experience is preferable.
