**Settlement and Reconciliation Assistant (credit and rebates)**

**Purpose of the job**

The Settlement and Reconciliation Assistant (credit and rebates) within the Invoice to Cash SSC function will support the Invoice to Cash Accountant, by processing timeously and accurately all reconciliation and settlements for all credit purchases and rebates in compliance with the required company policy and practices.

This role will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are executed as per the time and quality standards agreed in the Record to Report SLAs.

**Experience**
- 1-3 years of relevant working experience, with settlement and reconciliation credit transaction processing understanding being preferable

**Qualification**
- Matric required, with an advanced Diploma or equivalent certification in Finance/Accounting as preferable

**Key Performance Areas**

Process timeously and accurately all reconciliation and settlements for all credit purchases and rebates in compliance with the required company policy and practices;
- Process and update all debtors and Bank Reconciliations (including Debit Order, Electronic Payments and Recoveries);
- Process and update all VAT allowances;
- Process and record all refunds requests for customers;
- Liaise with the Record to Report team within the SSC to ensure all month end journals are processed accurately;
- Liaise with the Record to Report team within the SSC to ensure all reconciliations are processed accordingly and as per the business requirements;
- Match SAP and Vision by processing all credit transactions and reconciliations from Debtors and Big Buy;
- Match SAP, Vision and Bank with all debit orders and BDB reconciliations;
- Perform all petty cash reconciliations;
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping for all accounting activities for audit purposes;
- Respond to, and complete all processes and activities in line with the SLAs for the Invoice to Cash function;
- Work alongside the Invoice to Cash teams to ensure all month end and year end processes are accurate and completed as per the agreed timelines and guidelines.
