We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical Technical Quality Assurance Manager to join our Food Safety and Quality department. As the quality assurance manager, you will uphold the food safety and quality regulations of the company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Read product specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
- Measure product and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Supervise the production process.
- Resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Must be able to work either the day shift (07h00 am - 16h00 pm) or night shift (21h00 pm - 05h00)
- Provide Food Safety and Quality Training when required.

**Education and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in food technology/ food science
- Confectionary/baking experience would be advantageous
- Certification in quality and food safety is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Good math and technical skills.
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to work different shifts/ rotate shifts
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

- Understanding of Quality Control Principals
- Knowledge of Micro Laboratory, Hygiene, Food Safety, Quality Systems and HACCP
- Computer Literate - SPC, Graphics and Statistics
- Knowledge of IR and Food Legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and (FCA, EC)
- Understanding of Financial Data and Cost Controls
- Minimum of 5 years in factory FMCG QA Environment with a proven track record
- Managing people in a disciplined environment
- Experience in Food processing industry
- Wide range of contacts in relevant industries
