Quality Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise quality control operations across injection moulding and electrical assembly lines.
- Ensure full compliance with SABS, IEC, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Conduct in-process, final, and incoming inspections of materials and finished products.
- Lead and mentor a team of quality inspectors; provide training and performance evaluations.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and perform root cause analysis using 5 Whys and Fishbone methods.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to reduce defects and improve product quality.
- Maintain calibration systems and verification logs for testing and measuring equipment.
- Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports to management.
- Participate in internal and supplier audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, and Lean manufacturing practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- National Diploma in Quality Management or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in Injection Moulding Technology or related manufacturing field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality control or supervisory role within electrical or plastics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and SABS product standards.
- Experience leading teams in a production environment with strong process discipline.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP/QMS systems).
