**EXPERIENCE DESIGN DIRECTOR**:
**Johannesburg, South Africa**:
We are looking for an **Experience Design Director** who will lead a dedicated user experience team to work with the world’s most ambitious brands from vision and strategy across design and development to delivery to market.

**Key skills**:

- Deep expertise in UX methods, working in a user experience and design environment, where you have been using insight about people’s behaviour and sentiment to inform the design of better digital experiences.
- Strong experience of constructing approaches and conducting one-to-one interviews, focus groups, diary studies and other qualitative research methods.
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of return on investment and online marketing metrics, and complete commitment to evidence and insight as the backbone of design.
- Experience working on end-to-end projects, from discover and strategy to delivery to market is desirable.
- Team Leadership - particularly, to contuinuously create and improve ways of working, as well as developing the teams through line management, coaching and mentoring, helping them achieve their personal development objectives and ambitions.
- Experience in growing and nurturing long-term client relationships through a deep understanding of their objectives and future ambitions
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of what it takes to make change happen in large organisations.

**The role**:
As an Experience Design Director, you will be one of the most experienced practitioners in our team. You will work with our most important clients from discovery to delivery, to create tangible results for their business and their customers.

As a leader in our experience design practice, you will also help to develop the skills of more junior members of the team.

**Our methodology**:

- Plan, design and deliver beautiful customer-centred digital products and services as part of a cross-disciplinary team.
- Champion experimentation, conceptual thinking and creative expression in the design process.
- Deepen and evolve expertise in creating design systems for our clients.
- Thought leadership in branding, visual design and design systems, such as contributing to conferences and industry panels.
- Define the best approach to client briefs, assist in scoping work and participate in pitch teams.
- Be a trusted advisor for our clients. Help grow and nurture long-term client relationships through a deep understanding of their business objectives, past projects and future ambitions.
