**Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing and Supplier Management:

- Lead the procurement process for all categories: meat, consumables, packaging, and general grocery/FMCG items.
- Proactively identify and vet new suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve the best value.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and product awareness, specifically for butchery needs, to inform buying decisions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all suppliers.
- Continuously monitor and analyse supplier pricing, keeping detailed records of price changes and purchasing intervals.
- Conduct costing analysis and ensure that procurement activities support the company's profitability goals.
- Quality Assurance and Food Safety:

- Verify and ensure that suppliers adhere to all food safety regulatory requirements applicable to their products as well as comply to both the companies as well as the targeted clients standard and specifications.
- Ensure all meat procurement aligns with required standards, including Halal as well as food safety regulations where applicable.
- Work with production teams and management and assist in oversight on the handling and storage of products to prevent spoilage, contamination, and ensure a pristine chain of custody.
- Inventory Management & POS:

- Supervise and manage the stock intake process to guarantee accuracy in quantity and quality upon delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and general stock movement to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Utilize data from sales and historical trends to forecast product needs and inform purchasing decisions.
- Maintain Product/Stock codes/plu’s on the POS as directed to ensure stock and system integrity, relevance, accuracy as well as accuracy of costing.
- Oversee, supervise and manage intake prices as is negotiated and agreed to and communicated to relevant teams while also maintaining relevant costs on POS/ERPS
- Monitor delivery slot times and address and resolve any logistics or delivery issues promptly to minimize impact on company.
- Ensure proper record keeping of documents as well as managing and maintaining stock controls
- Provide relevant recommendations and manage implementation for continues improvement to stock controls
- Inter-departmental Collaboration and Reporting:

- Collaborate with the Sales & Finance Team to analyze product costs and propose competitive retail prices.
- Provide timely feedback on any price changes to Sales & Finance team to action such changes with sufficient lead times
- Foster strong relationships across all departments, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information, crucial for reacting quickly to market changes and making informed decisions that support the entire business.
- Monitor price changes and ensure it is accurately and timely reflected in shelf prices/sales price.
- Provide detailed reports to senior management on procurement performance, cost savings while identifying market trends that might impact on overall performance of the business and its ability to maintain product.
- Regularly review and manage accuracy and update of landed cost on the POS system(s)

Pay: R12 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
