We are looking for a Financial Director in the Manufacturing sector, Pietermaritzburg, KZN

Location: Pietermaritzburg, KZN (ZA)

Industry: Manufacturing

Staff Compliment: approx. 200 in SA

Reporting to: MD & Germany HQ

**Finance Director Requirements and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Manufacturing sector **(non-negotiable)**:

- Member of a recognized professional accounting body in good standing **(non-negotiable)**:

- Oversee HR function **(non-negotiable)**:

- 10+ years experience in a senior finance position

**Finance Director Duties and Responsibilities**
- Direct and monitor all financial activities of the organization
- Manage company cash flow
- Outline and implement company-wide budget plans
- Prepare monthly management accounts and annual company financial statements.
- Oversee all accounting work and set up internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Work with and advise the management team on solid financial decision-making to increase profits and minimize losses
- Provide strategic financial planning advice to upper management for long-term growth
- Establish internal work processes for the financial department
- Maintain and manage client relationships
- Analyze and interpret financial data and provide insightful monthly financial reports to the senior executives and HQ in Germany including variance analysis.
- Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordingly
- Asses company spending and work to reduce costs
- Manage the finance department, training any new employees as necessary
- Ensure Human Resources salary and wage statutory compliance.
- Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations
- Assessing, managing and minimizing risk
- Attend to any tax requirements to ensure tax compliance
- Reporting to Managing Director

**Salary**: up to R1.5M p/a
