A vacancy exists in the Pietermaritzburg office of a national firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors for an experienced Marketing Consultant to commence duties as soon as possible.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Daily Marketing Activities**
- Develops and maintains a keen understanding and working knowledge of the competitive environment in order to provide advice and counsel to the Staff, Managers and Directors which will ensure the firm’s competitive edge and ability to continually take market-share.
- Understands and markets the firm’s various service lines and increase the brand awareness nationally.
- Design, order and distribute marketing materials and literature
- Responsible for internal campaigns
- Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature
- Writing articles and promotional material for the company
- Maintenance of social media sites (website, twitter and Facebook)
- Updating and maintaining the marketing department's documentation and databases
- Managing events, exhibitions, booking venues as required.
- Facilitation and co-ordination of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of the firm
- Development and circulation of internal newsletter and other communication

**Media**
- Managing Press events & press kits
- Monitoring media coverage
- Researching and evaluating new media and magazines

**Financial Aspects**
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing activities
- Identify and suggest cost-effective marketing activities for the brand and service lines

**General**
- Provide general support to all Managers and Directors
- Development of the annual Marketing Strategy and operational plan and ensuring successful implementation thereof.

**Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing
- 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing environment
- Must have social and media website expertise

**Behavioural Competencies**
- Must pay attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills - must be able to compile, analyse and report on statistics
- Innovative and creative thinking skills
- Must be energetic and innovative

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: R15 000,00 - R24 000,00 per month
