The Yoco Brand and Communications team is looking to recruit a passionate, hyper-organised self-starter who can use eventing platforms to help build brand awareness in our target markets and help drive sales. **ROLE | WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**EVENT PLANNING & PRODUCTION**
- Plan, organise and manage all Johannesburg based internal and external events from start to finish.
- Work with the Sales, Growth and Brand Marketing teams to ensure objectives of all departments are met through the eventing channel.
- Collaborate with internal staff, and external contractors to ensure successful event operations
- Provide post event analysis, budget recons and participant feedback and incorporate learning into future events
- Coordinate event operations as required (preparing venue, invitations, food, drinks etc.)
- Develop strong product knowledge and be able to act as key product demonstrator at industry events and roadshows
- Represent the company at industry and social events
**EVENT ADMINISTRATION**
- Prepare and compile marketing collateral, event briefs, source new venues, speakers and prepare a detailed project plan and projected budget for each event.
- Create and maintain timelines and budget
- Coordinate site visits and scheduling of events, continuously updating our online events calendar
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers ensuring the usage of qualified supplier services
- Manage suppliers output and their service delivery and ensure payments are up to date prior to events
- Monitor payment allocations against budget and ensure sign off
- Order and maintain marketing collateral stock for all our eventing requirements.
- Assist with the general operational and administrative requirements within the Community team.
**IDEAL CANDIDATE | WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?**
**Key requirements to perform responsibilities**:
- Relevant Diploma / Degree in either Marketing or Events Management
- 2 - 3 years’ in a similar role
- Sales experience not compulsory but advantageous
- Own transport not compulsory but advantageous
- Social media presence with a decent following and understanding of leveraging social media for eventing
- Experience with hosting events and confidence with facilitating/moderating events
- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work on weekends and evenings as needed to support above responsibilities (approx. 20%)
- Knowledge and experience with marketing techniques, social media and industry trends
- Demonstrates extreme attention to detail and professionalism
- Willingness to to travel across South Africa as and when required (approx. 25%)
- Organised, ambitious, and high-energy that can embrace and navigate a fast-paced, ever-shifting environment
- Ownership mentality and proven ability to meet deadlines, work collaboratively with others, and ensure high quality deliverables
