Ups and Inverter System Technician

**Key Responsibilities: Installation & Commissioning**:
- Install and configure UPS systems, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical wiring in a Data Centre
- Perform site surveys to determine customer power backup needs.
- Ensure proper grounding and protection measures are in place.
- Commission new installations and test system performance.
**Maintenance & Troubleshooting**:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on UPS and inverter systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults, including battery failures, power fluctuations, and system errors.
- Replace faulty components, including batteries, capacitors, and control boards.
- Calibrate systems for optimal performance and efficiency.
**Technical Support & Customer Service**:
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and maintenance.
- Respond to customer inquiries and service requests promptly.
- Train end-users on system operation, troubleshooting, and safety precautions.
**Safety & Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Follow company and industry best practices to maintain workplace safety.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all installations and repairs.
**Qualifications & Skills Required: Education & Experience**:
- Diploma or Certification in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- PV Green card certified (Non-Negotiable)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in UPS and inverter installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with various UPS brands and battery technologies
Pay: From R25 000,00 per month
