Duties/Pligte
- Liaising regarding, and dealing with financial matters relating to faculties, institutes and support environments;
- Providing financial advisory services to the above-mentioned environments;
- Monitoring of compliance with financial policies and procedures;
- Compiling management reports on a continuous basis;
- Responding to and solving financial policy and procedure queries (walk-in, telephonic and electronic);
- Presenting formal and informal internal workshops and programmes to communicate financial policies and systems;
- Capturing of manual and project journals;
- Assisting with the creation of projects and budgets within the Projects and Grants Module;
- Processing indirect cost recovery correction journals.
- Skakeling in verband met, en die hantering van finansiële aangeleenthede ten opsigte van fakulteite, institute en steundiensomgewings;
- Verskaffing van finansiële adviesdienste aan bogenoemde omgewings;
- Monitering van die nakoming van finansiële beleide en prosedures;
- Opstel van bestuursverslae op 'n deurlopende basis;
- Hantering van en oplos van navrae (instap, telefonies en elektronies) in verband met finansiële beleide en prosedures;
- Die aanbied van formele en informele interne werkswinkels en programme om finansiële beleide en stelsels te kommunikeer;
- Vaslegging van joernaal
- en projektransaksies;
- Hulpverlening met die skep van projekte en begrotings binne die Projekte
- en Toelae-module;
- Verwerking van indirekte koste verhaling regstellingsjoernale.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- A degree in commerce with financial accounting as major, **OR** a financial diploma (NQF 6) with financial accounting as major and five years' relevant experience;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word and Outlook);
- Sound organisational and planning skills;
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure;
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- 'n Graad in die handelswese met finansiële rekeningkunde as hoofvak, **OF** 'n finansiële diploma (NKR 6) met finansiële rekeningkunde as hoofvak en vyf jaar se toepaslike ervaring;
- Bewese ervaring in die toepassing van finansiële beleide en prosedures;
- Uitstekende interpersoonlike vaardighede;
- Bewese vermoë om effektief binne spanverband te funksioneer;
- Uitstekende mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede;
- Uitstekende rekenaarvaardighede (MS Excel, Word en Outlook);
- Sterk organisatoriese en beplanningsvaardighede;
- Die vermoë om effektief onder druk te werk;
- Uitstekende probleemoplossingsvaardighede.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Proven experience and knowledge of Stellenbosch University's, or a similar institution's, financial systems.
- Appropriate experience in the financial management of research contracts and projects.
