Full Job Description

**Experience and skills**:

- Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience in Security or similar working environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Good report writing skills
- Critical thinking ability, observant of a situation enabling appropriate response
- Working closely with management to maintain discipline
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety would be advantageous

**Inherent Requirements**:

- Grade 12- Matric Certificate or equivalent
- Completion of formal education in Security or proven work experience in a similar position
- PSIRA registered
- Identification Document
- Armed Response Module
- Valid Driver’s License
- Firearm Competency
- Firearm Certificate for Business Purposes
- Covid-19 vaccination mandatory

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Support the Operations Manager by supervising security teams
- Training, development and induction of all tactical teams
- Monitor systems and operational procedures to ensure service delivery
- Fleet management, vehicle inspections and hygiene
- Assisting and Respond to alarm activations and emergency calls
- Supervise Reaction Officers on shift and provide guidance
- Handling of all shift administration (equipment and vehicle checks)
- Liaising with clients, neighbourhood watches, police forums and community organizations.
- Issuing and controlling of firearms on a shift
- Follow up on staff concerns (discipline; leave; pay queries; investigations and other tasks that may be required)

The Senior Security Supervisor is to ensure that the desired company documented standards are implemented, monitored and maintained.

**Salary**: Up to R14,000.00 per month
