We are seeking an organized, self-motivated Installation technician to provide general support to our customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide timely delivery of scope of work & communicate with Project Managers.
  • Perform Service and Installation of Access Control, CCTV & Intercom systems, fencing.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair as necessary on security systems.
  • Perform upgrades and additions on systems to increase functionality.
  • Perform computer program entries as required to add CCTV cameras, access control systems as needed.
  • Prepare site documentation for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information
  • Direct field technicians in installation of cabling and device set up and wiring.
  • Dress, terminate and test cables and components.
  • Deliver effective commissioning of security systems to satisfy all quality requirements and aid in support of handoff to the Security Service team

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast-growing division.
  • Ability to work with power tools and ladders.
  • Ability to complete tasks according to schedule and communicate with supervisors.
  • Knowledge of building construction, ability to read/understand floor plans and riser drawings.
  • Strong team player who can communicate effectively, customer service skills and neat personal appearance.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work effectively in high pressure situations.

Must have a valid unendorsed Drivers License

Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
