**THE JOB AT A GLANCE**
Reporting into the Head: Marketing Brand and Communications, the Communications Manager will be to ensure delivery of Corporate Communications services at a strategic and operational level to ensure the improvement of RMA’s reputation
**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
**Develop and Implement the Communications Channel Strategy**:
- Develop and implement an RMA communications channel strategy
- Undertake the necessary monitoring and evaluation activities in order to determine the success or otherwise of the communications strategy
- Contribute expertise in the areas of media and online and stakeholder engagement to RMA’s overall strategic planning
- Assist in the development of a sound CRM strategy for the company
**Operational Oversight of Communications**:
- Ensure that all RMA output, including articles, briefing papers and key correspondence documents, is in line with the corporate identity and media policy
- Manage the RMA website and ensure that the webpage is updated and gradually improved by posting articles, blogs, videos and other educational content, and by overseeing all website documents ensure quality in line with web manage best practice
- Develop new and creative communication streams, including podcasts and videos.
**Information Dissemination**:
- Internally, ensure that all RMA employees are appropriately conscientized of changes and projects within the company
- Distribute information and messages from executive management, preparation of presentations and internal memos, and arrangement and conduct of meetings to share information
- Develop print materials for use by employees, employers, claimants and healthcare providers in line with the corporate identity policy
- Develop and distribute materials that may explain or convey the company's policies or position on a variety of relevant matters. Other duties may include issuing press releases, arranging interviews and compiling press kits
- Provide cross functional support to teams in their communication requirements, including the development and integration of communications plans in specific program projects and activities.
- Support the CEO and other Exco members with their media and communication needs, including drafting or editing of documents as and when required
- Contribute to the development of company document and manuals and share lessons learned ultimately incorporating them in project reports, publications and appropriate presentation materials
- Participate in the coordination and commissioning of the production of RMA publications (e.g., reports and other generic materials, tailored promotional materials, newsletters, project-specific reports and toolkits) and design appropriate dissemination or promotion strategies
- Continuously research and monitor the impact of communication, identifying areas for improvement
**Stakeholder communication and engagement**:
- Develop Work closely with the brand and marketing team to effectively position RMA’s story to employers, employees and other key stakeholders.
- Externally, represent RMA to stakeholders, interested parties and the public by serving as the company spokesperson to the media and all other relevant stakeholders.
- Design and implement a customer feedback capability in respect of internal communications service delivery
- Coordinate and manage stakeholder engagements, information sharing and educational events, workshops and where possible conferences
- Improve RMA’s communication strategy across all stakeholder groups
- Assist in updating and developing RMA’s presence on all relevant media including social media networks in line with the Media policy
- Develop a close working relationship will all business units including the CRM section
- Represent RMA at meetings, functions and events, some of which may occur outside normal office hours and may involve long-distance travel
- Develop and administer the necessary administrative systems for tracking all RMA’s interactions with all relevant stakeholders including the media
**Team/Communications Supplier Management**:
- Set staff and departmental performance targets and expectations, ensuring that the targets and expectations are achieved through regular monitoring and management
- Identify talent within the team and develop employees through effective staff management and assist them in meeting their training requirements and achieving their career aspirations
- Assist in identifying and recruiting new staff members
- Perform any other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by RMA
- Ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively
- Manage and maintain relationships with RMA’s PR Agencies and work jointly with the agencies and business to write editorials, advertorials etc.
