**Who You Are**:

**What You Have Done Before**:

- NQF Level 7 (Bachelor’s degree in business or other Commercial related fields).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-store Food Retail, Sourcing (Supply Chain and Logistics), Product Development and Operations.
- 5 years’ Experience in Foods Supplier Relationship Management
- In-depth knowledge of market analysis and metrics of food Procurement

**Exciting Challenges You Might Face**:

- Develop and shape the Convenience Food solutions at our sites by understanding the variance in consumption characteristics between different geographic markets and segments by owning and managing the solution internally or with selected Food Service partners.
- Establish all risk and governance processes by concluding memorandums of Agreements with Selected manufacturers, distributors, and Food Service Partners to protect Engen legally and financially

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- COMMERCIAL STRATEGY- Develop and Drive the Commercial strategy & manage key strategic supplier relationships by creating, delivering, and capturing value as we partner with Fresh Perishable Food Manufacturers and the development of our in-house coffee business.
- Develop and Drive the Product Trading strategy & manage key strategic supplier relationships by creating, delivering, and capturing value as we transform the business from a petroleum forecourt retailer to a Food convenience retailer.
- Develop the strategy to achieve long-term business needs for Foodvenience business by anticipating mega-trends, complex challenges and opportunities and ensures implementation and execution of the strategy in order to enable the success of the enterprise.
- Design and develop new customer acquisition strategies with Trade planning and Marketing by analysing and interpreting market and competitor strategies and formulating the company response to the dynamic food retail environment.

PRODUCT PROCUREMENT AND SOURCING (OFFERINGS)- Develop a Category management Policies and Procedures that brings structure to business partnering
- Develop and drive an in-house Solution for Bakery and Food Services by operationalising the strategy and building viable business models

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND FOOD TECHNOLOGY- Develop in conjunction with the Head of Product development and food Technology, the Convenience Food Product strategy by analyzing market trends
- Development of the Engen Private Label Packaging strategy by developing design guidelines ensuring compliance to legal and government legislation on food labelling and marketing.

TRADE PLANNING- Drive the Trade Promotion Planning and Marketing strategies for Convenience by understanding customer’s needs
- Drive the understanding of customer data analytics, market research and loyalty

MERCHANDISE PLANNING AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN- Develop the Convenience Category Management Capability including market insights, business partnering

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT- Manage relations with internal customers, contractors/service providers and external stakeholders
- Develop and contract the Heads of Agreement with all Convenience Manufacturers, Suppliers and Franchise Parent companies

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT- Provide input to the organizational Design of the commercial structure
- Develop and drive dealer & staff Training for capability development across the Foods convenience

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT- Develop and Drive the forecast of annual budget requirement of Income and sales
- Develop and Drive the successful implementation of the Convenience OPEX plan
- Develop and Drive the successful implementation of the Annual Capex
