- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the unit operates in compliance with regulatory requirements, such as those related to patient safety and infection control.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
- Overseeing patient care, including the management of high-risk pregnancies and complicated deliveries.
- Monitoring patient outcomes and tracking key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure that the unit is meeting quality standards.
- Managing the unit's budget and financial performance, including monitoring expenses and revenue, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and staff, and ensuring that the unit provides compassionate and patient-centered care.
