National Operations Manager

**What is the job**:
We are looking for an ambitious and hands on Operations Manager to join our growing business As the Operations Manager at one of the largest KFC Franchise groups in Africa, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall business operations strategy and leading the Operations team to success. In this position, you'll have to manage and control diverse business operations and function across multiple restaurants, so we expect you to be a hardworking and inspiring leader.

**What will be expected of you?**:

- **Strategy & Execution**: Promote Company Mission, Goals and Values and act as a role model for the advancement thereof. Plan and direct changes, staffing and reporting relationships and lead, motivate, manage, and develop operations team to achieve the objectives. Ensure that all teams fully understand their accountabilities and that they have the authority and expertise to achieve them.
- ** Commercial Expectation**: Maximize the profitability of the group by accurately forecast of sales and labour, understanding, and controlling all costs, and managing of all company assets, facilities, and equipment efficiently. Monitor daily, weekly, and periodically to ensure alignment to Annual Operating Profit targets.
- ** Partnership Expectation**: Exceptional operational and commercial acumen and general business knowledge required through ongoing partnership with stakeholders. The ability to partner across functions for sustainable operational growth and improved profitability.
- ** Leadership and Personal Growth Expectation**: Expose and grow current critical positions/functions in the team into leaders through ongoing leadership exposure and coaching. Growing leaders by conducting regular performance appraisals, having Individual Development Plans in place for the team and implementing value-added developmental activities.
- ** Customers and Sales**: Assist the team to create a customer focused environment which exceeds customers' experience. Set and communicate Bold Sales Goals to the team, develop a strong sales culture and striving to consistently exceed sales targets. Understand and enable People Capability to positively impact sales and transaction growth.

**Are you qualified?**:

- A tertiary degree, Business or Commerce related, is essential and an MBA will be advantageous. At least 10 years of senior Operations Management experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on multi sites and leading teams across South Africa.
