**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategies for managing the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, systems, and servers
- Monitor and analyze network performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure high availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT operations, security, and development, to align infrastructure initiatives with overall business goals
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as regulatory requirements
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for improvement or innovation
- Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers and oversee service level agreements

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and servers
- Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software, as well as Office365 and Azure.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a track record in leading and managing teams
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices
- Management of service desk and optimal resolution of tickets.
- Experience in planning and implementing infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, data center migrations, and disaster recovery initiatives
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT infrastructure, such as POPIA.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, or equivalent, are preferred.

This will be a 12 month contract position with good possibility of renewal.
