**Job Description.**

Dimension Data is looking to hire a Senior Cloud Sales Specialist to join the Cloud Sales Team in Johannesburg. The role entails taking the Dimension Data Cloud value proposition to market, retaining existing business and growing market share.

The person needs to have the interpersonal skills and professional excellence required to delight clients. Other vital skills for this role include a high degree of self-motivation, being a team player, and have a passion to keep learning. Importantly, taking a cloud value proposition to market is primarily focused on driving business outcomes for clients by leveraging the cloud platform. This requires more of a consulting-led sales approach.

The Senior Cloud Sales Specialist needs to have a good handle on the Public Cloud platforms and at the same time can handle a clients’ hybrid cloud requirements and the various cloud migration strategies. The individual will focus on selling Dimension Data’s breadth of cloud services which include consulting, migration, support and managed services. Dimension Data has a unique differentiator in our experience and expertise with Hyperscale Cloud Providers (such as Microsoft Azure and AWS) as well as traditional Data Centre OEM’s (such as Dell Technologies and HP).

The Senior Cloud Sales Specialist will work closely with strong team of Cloud Solutions Architectures to work out the best solution and approach for each client need. A typical cloud engagement will ideally help our clients to map out a detailed Cloud Journey and ensure that Dimension Data is best positioned to take them on that journey.

- Domain and industry Subject Matter Expert _
- Maintain Subject matter expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS products and Services.
- Support the closure of sales based on technology domain knowledge
- Address the technology conceptual challenges during the sales process
- Maintain a high level of relevant product and service knowledge to have meaningful conversations with potential and existing clients
- Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategy and how to penetrate a new market
- Contribute to the knowledge base of NTT Ltd’s solutions and services within a practice area or service area by sharing best practices with internal teams, as well as client teams
- Work with relevant technology vendors and ensure a deep understanding of their solutions and how they can contribute to our own solutions set
- Ensures proper documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date
- Responds to technical questions from clients or internal teams related to AWS.
- Provides expert knowledge to customers on the benefits of using Amazon Web Services and Azure.
- Coordinates with internal team members when needed to resolve project-related issues.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Prior experience in Cloud Computing and/or Software Development a plus.
- Five Years Enterprise Sales experience required.
- Five Years Solutions building and Selling.
- Six years of experience in the IT field, specifically with cloud computing and/or software development preferred.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud solutions is a plus.
