‘NEW GENERATION OF ACADEMICS’ PROGRAMME (nGAP)
**LECTURER**
The School of Nursing in the Faculty of Community & Health Sciences has a growing reputation as a leading educational provider for both undergraduate and postgraduate professional Nursing programmes. It has a long history of focusing on promoting equity and community development in its education and training of professionals and is involved in partnerships with service providers and communities in urban, as well as rural areas within South Africa and other African countries.
**Minimum Requirements**
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or related (e.g. Masters Public Health)
- Prior experience in an academic role (e.g. as Lecturer/Skills lab tutor/Clinical, Supervisor, etc.)
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
**Added advantage**
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nursing Educator.
- Two years’ experience in Midwifery.
- Evidence of publication output.
- Experience in the field of Midwifery.
- Registered with South African Nursing Council for a postgraduate qualification in Midwifery.
**Additional requirements for all positions include**:
- Communication and presentation skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Planning and organising skills.-
