Our client in the Automotive Industry is looking for a
**Group Technician** to join their group.

**Requirements**:

- Certified Diagnostic Technician
- Valid drivers licence
- Staying abreast with technical qualifications on an annual basis, in line with the SA Aftersales Standard.
- Technical qualification
- Computer literate (Office suite)
- Motor dealership industry (technical experience)

**Responsibilities**:

- Select job file created by reception using the Integrated Service Processes Application
- Enter vehicle identification number
- Read downloaded data from vehicle
- Enter fundamental attributes
- Connect the vehicle access hardware (Integrated Communication Optical Module) to the vehicle and make it available to the workshop network either wirelessly or by cable
- Link the vehicle access hardware to the Integrated Service Information Display using the connection manager
- Run a vehicle test
- View the fault code memory
- Generate the test plan
- Work through the generated process
- Complete job file
- Control module DME
- Idle Speed Control Valve
- Oxygen Sensor
- DME components
- Fuel delivery pressure
- Fuel injectors
- Fuel system faults
- Fuel rail pressure
- Radial oil seat for output flange
- Power steering box and electrical steering
- Bellows on gear
- Power steering pump
- Steering angle system
- ABS wheel speed sensors
- ABS system operation
- Ensure job card contains accurate and detailed information on all vehicle service and repairs
- Ensure all vehicle service and repair work is accurately clocked according to workshop productivity and efficiency report
- Ensure any additional work on vehicle is reported to and signed off by Service Manager
- Ensure all parts used are listed on job card
- Ensure all job cards are filed correctly
- Assist technical staff with unresolved technical problem
- Ensure customer is informed off all work done on vehicle via (ASC)
- Ensure technical trainees are mentored and coached according to technical training requirements
- Ensure training progress is documented in trainer / mentor logbook
- Discuss current workshop staff performance of department (departmental meeting)
- Allow the opportunity for relevant input from workshop staff (departmental meeting)
- Discuss all bulletins, workshop comebacks and escalated technical problems
- Discuss and S-CSI results and potential action plans
- Ensure timeous arrival for training courses
- Attend training induction
- Ensure preparation for all pre work
- Engage in after-training briefing with workshop mentor
