Specialising in premium container and homeware, Plastics Depot is the leading and fast growing retailer in Cape Province.

Our team of experts is looking for a Warehouse Driver and Handyman to join the Plastics Depot team at the warehouse in Goodwood, Cape Town.

If you want to join our team, these are a few of the key areas that you will need to be responsible for:
Ensure timely deliveries to stores as per the route schedule.

Ensure that the vehicle is loaded in an organised manner according to the delivery route schedule for the day.

Ensuring correct stock is delivered to the specific stores.

Comply with the times and procedures, regulations, and correct use of resources

Responsible for the vehicle - safe handling/operating of the vehicle

Day to day inspection of the vehicle and reporting of all faults and serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel

Completing vehicle inspection sheet and refueling of vehicles

Minimize the damages by careful handling of products during loading and offloading.

Ensure that all stock returned to the warehouse is checked and verified as correct according to the IBT document. All stock discrepancies must be noted on the IBT.

Safe truck operation, use of seat belts, no speeding, no use of electronic equipment, no eating, and no smoking.

The delivery vehicle must be kept neat and tidy at all times.

Ensure all proof of deliveries are signed on delivery as well

Loading and off-loading of products including pallet bins by using pallet jack, tail lifter.

Return of returned products, empty containers (pallet bin andwooden pallets)

Any vehicle damages or breakages must be reported to the warehouse manager as soon as possible.

Conduct other products assembling duties on the days when there is no delivery.

Conduct other handyman duties at warehouse or stores.

Assist in any other general warehouse duties as per operational needs.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to R144 000,00 per year
