An executive level role has recently become available at the Waterfall office of a JSE listed Financial Services Group. The Group is looking to appoint an experienced and hands-on Divisional CFO. The Wealth division key operating units include: Stockbroking, LISP, Linked investment LifeCo and multi-manager.

**About the role**

CFO: PSG Wealth will be accountable for the Wealth Finance Team (16 finance staff members), including 4 direct reports, and role will report directly into the PSG Konsult Group CFO.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analysing and determining budget requirements
- Strategic Finance responsibility - review of business financial structures to mitigate operational risk and optimise profits
- Organising finance team resources to meet business objectives and priorities
- Dealing with unusual and complex financial transactions and issues within Wealth Entities
- Management oversight and review of Financial Managers tasks and responsibilities
- Key liaison to business managers on understanding and managing business P&L
- Optimisation of capital and cash positions of Wealth Entities
- Assessing financial control environment and continuously enhancing areas to reduce operational and financial risk in the business.
- Maintaining, enhancing and streamlining all financial related operational processes
- Effective management of operational costs, including the continual refinement and introduction of technology to streamline administrative systems and resources
- Provision of better financial information and context for improved decision making
- Critically examining financial information and regulatory returns for accuracy and ensure timeous reporting thereof
- Keeping abreast of any industry developments and technologies that may impact on statutory submissions
- Overseeing submission of Tax Returns and dealing with SARS queries
- Oversee and enhance operational processes to produce client tax certificates
- Independent oversight review of operational finance function to assist in mitigating risk by performing an independent check to ensure that Fin Ops recon and control processes are being adhered to.
- Build relationships and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all queries are responded to timeously
- Co-ordination of requirements of other areas of the business in relation to the finance function
- Supporting the Wealth CEO to monetise strategic ideas and monitor business performance against strategic targets and plans
- Effective management of employees, and management of their performance

**Minimum requirements**:

- CA(SA)
- Min 10 years relevant experience in financial services, with a preference for wealth management industry experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
