**Functional Area**: Capetown

**Purpose of the position**:To ensure that learners are trained, assessed and certified as Competent in relevant Unit Standard by meeting KBC & SAQA standards.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Facilitate Assessments of:

- First aid ;Fire training and development as required whilst keeping him/herself current with all First aid and Fire education, training and development best practice.
- Assist with Registration process and documentation
- Ensure that the appropriate training material, stationery and equipment is available and in excellent working order before the Training Session commences
- Create and nurture a positive learning environment that stimulates learning and motivates Delegates
- Facilitate programmes according to the KBC and SAQA facilitation best practice and self-prepared Programme Enhancement / Lesson Plan
- Ensure that delegates understand assessment questions and how to complete the Assessment
- Conduct Assessments
- Evaluate the Assessment
- Provide Assessment feedback
- Review and Report Course Evaluations

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Registered Assessor
- Facilitator & Assessor certificate
- First Aid & Fire Fighting Certificates
- Sound Knowledge of the Health and Safety Act
- Minimum 2 years experience in First aid and Fire fighting training
- Be able to work on your own while working with the team
- Safety Qualification or studying towards will be advantageous
- Fluent in English and at least 2 of the other national languages, the more the better
- Willing to travel and have own reliable transport
