Montague Gardens, South Africa Business Directive Contract Services Full time

The primary role of the Warehouse Assistant includes the receiving and processing of incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders and managing, organising and retrieving stock in the warehouse. We are currently hiring for full-time roles (Monday-Saturday).

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers’ expectations and business timelines
- Utilize handheld units to pick items according to the Warehouse Management System
- Inspect items to ensure they’re not damaged or faulty
- Pack products with pride, treating each parcel as the cycle of experience.
- Ship and fulfil customer orders in inventory systems.
- Assist with unloading containers, sorting, counting, receiving into WMS and palletising of stock in the warehouse.
- Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring stock levels on picking shelves are maintained and monitors stock inventory
- Perform stocktakes bi-annually on all products in the warehouse, as well as participate in scheduled cycle counts
- Maintain a safe and clean work space and environment
- Wears PPE
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely manner
- Undertake necessary training to operate warehouse machinery
- Assist with warehouse sales, including working weekends where required, bump in and bump out
- Forklift license and operation (or willing to get license)

**General duties of all team members**:

- Assist with seasonal events including trade show bump in and bump out, as needed
- Work trade shows where required including weekends and interstate, as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Management

- Be a leader on the team, show initiative & assist Warehouse Team Leader and Warehouse Manager to ensure smooth operations of the warehouse
- Train and guide new warehouse workers
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact failure/cost of poor quality
- Work collaboratively across departments to meet company needs

Qualification
- Grade 12 Senior certificate is essential.
- Clear criminal record
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse.
- Grade 12 Senior certificate is essential.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 45 per week

**Salary**: R5,500.00 - R6,500.00 per month
