We’re looking for a hard-working individual to join **Solar MD **as a Warehouse Assistant; located in Montague Gardens. As a new and exciting venture, we want a dynamic individual who is motivated, reliable and dedicated to the company. In this role, you will assist the Stores/Warehouse team, and the CEO to improve the overall efficiency of our company and the quality of our transmissions.

**Warehouse Assistant Duties**:

- Receiving, checking, inspecting, and sorting incoming goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and also acceptable quality.
- Prepare customer orders as requested - pick stock; packing and pallet wrapping boxes; placing orders in delivery area for collection by customer or courier.
- Ensure that courier booking information is accurately relayed e.g. weight, dimensions, client/shipping information etc.
- Friendly disposition towards couriers and customers alike.
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with Stock takes.
- Operating forklift when required to do so.
- Monitoring stock levels - inform supervisor regarding consumables running low for procurement purposes.

**Qualification/Skills**:

- Matric Certificate (Attach copy to CV when applying)
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry heavy packages and objects.
- Good team player.
- Willing to work overtime when required to do so.
- Meticulous and efficient work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Stock Management experience _(Advantage)_
- 1-2 years experience in warehouse assistant or relevant roles _(Advantage)_
- Valid forklift license _(Advantage)_
- Previous stock take exposure (Advantage)
- A valid C10 PDP drivers license. (Advantage)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

**Experience**:

- Warehouse assisting: 1 year (preferred)
- Stock take: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- C10 PDP (preferred)
