Key Qualifications, Skill and Experience:

- Experience: Minimum 5 years in credit risk analysis, with comprehensive knowledge across the credit lifecycle.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL or SAS, coupled with mastery in Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Proven track record in developing and utilising credit scorecards and analytics to inform risk strategies.
- Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly and regroup when priorities shift, ensuring timely project completion.
- Strategic Insight: Expertise in building and refining credit risk scorecards, driving impactful risk strategies, and optimising risk policies.
- Data Proficiency: Ability to query, interpret, and present complex data clearly to support decision-making processes.
- Project Management: Strong ability to finish projects within deadlines, with a disciplined approach to task completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Holistic Exposure: Engage in all facets of the credit lifecycle, from acquisition and marketing to account management and collections.
- Policy Establishment: Define optimal credit risk policies and limit calculations, aligning with organisational objectives.
- Analytical Excellence: Analyse current strategies, conduct A/B testing, and define rules to manage exposure based on customer performance.
- Consultative Engagement: Collaborate with operational teams to streamline mandates, providing consultative support and data-driven insights.
- Reporting: Produce monitoring reports and ad-hoc analytics to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Team Development: Mentor and upskill junior analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations and external data providers, maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.
