**JOB TITLE**: Project Procurement Manager

**DIVISION**: Commercial Power

**LOCATION OF WORK & TRAVEL**: Pretoria, South Africa, occasional travel to meet with project suppliers

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Management Responsibility
- Managing and co-ordinating procurement on the project.
- Representing procurement on the project management team.
- Collating and approving standards and documentation.
- Collating and approving suppliers and contractors list as well as making recommendations for each enquiry/RFQ package.
- Reviewing and approving all enquiry (PR) and R.F.Q. packages.
- Leading negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
- Co-ordinating and reviewing adjudications
- Reviewing and signing (In USNC Finance is tasked with signing) purchase orders.
- Reviewing contract documents and arranging for signature.
- Monitoring and controlling administration of contracts.
- Approving purchase order and contract Amendments.
- Approving and controlling backcharges on suppliers and contractors.
- Controlling and finalising suppliers claims.
- Monitoring and supporting the expeditors and assisting at high level with the corrective action on delivery slippages.
- Maintaining good relations with client and suppliers/contractors.
- Ensuring Manager Procurement is kept informed of status/problems.
- Project Procurement Close-out.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Opening tenders.
- Preparing and issuing Procurement monthly report.
- Technical Responsibility
- Developing the project procurement strategy and tailoring procedures to suit.
- Producing special conditions to support USNC General Conditions and to satisfy Client's requirements.
- Finalising and approving purchase packages and sub-contract packages.
- Setting up P.O.P. (Procurement Operating Plan/s)
